Mining remains the largest application segment, capturing 50% of the market share in 2025, followed by construction at 25% and quarrying at 15%. Mining’s dominance is fueled by rising electrification targets and leading miners’ transition to sustainable fleets amid regulatory pressures. Construction applications are accelerating, led by infrastructure mega-projects, public sector investments, and urbanization trends. Quarrying, while smaller, is increasingly adopting battery-electric haul trucks due to operational/cost benefits over diesel. Tunneling, infrastructure, and waste management collectively hold the remaining share, each witnessing growing investments in emission-free solutions for underground and urban deployments, driven by environmental and worker health mandates.
